I can't activate my Ipad after upgrading to iOS 9.3

The Ipad won't activate. It says that the activation server is down , but I see a green OK next to the activation server in Apple's status page.

My Itunes (latest version) won't recognise my Ipad .

I have tried hard reset, and I have also tried using Wi-Fi and LTE.

It doesn't work at all.

Hello,

Please force restart your iPad as described on this page: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

How to force restart

You should force restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a last resort, and only if it's not responding. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Note: you will not lose any data or reset important settings while doing this.

Turn off your device

Go to icloud.com

sign in with the icloud account associated with your device

Click on Find iPhone

Click on All Devices

Click on your Device

Click on Remove from account (DO NOT ERASE OR MARK AS LOST)

Once activated go back to settings and sign in to your icloud account and turn on find my iphone again.

Well

I had a chat with Apple and they say its releted to the fact that many people are trying to update to iOS 9.3

I waited about half an hour and tried again, and it worked.

But then I had a different problem.

I updated my itunes (for windows) and I can't connect both Ipad and Iphone with the lighting USB cable to Itunes

Itunes doesn't not find them...

I Just found this online

  • Hook up the iPad powered ON to the computer with iTunes
  • Now hold the home / power button until the iPad turns off. Continue holding for 10 seconds then release the power button BUT CONTINUE pressing the home button until iTunes recognizes your iPad.

It will ask if you want it to go in to recovery mode and it will begin to try and download iOS 9.3 again. My iPad is still updating. I don't know if this will work yet but it got me past the iTunes not recognizing my iPad part!

well here is the solution for windows users.

Go to devices under control panel, under devices you will find you Apple device (hopefully)

then press the right click and click on properties.

Then update the driver using automatic driver finding (Using windows update)

Your Apple device should reconnect and then restart Itunes.

It solved my problem.

I've been on the phone with Apple support twice now and was told a full restore is the only option -- ONLY it's taken 3+ hours for my MacBookPro to load the 9. whatever version and it's still 31 minutes out. I'm told once the laptop has the 9.whatever loaded that I will have to restore the iPad but I am not holding much faith in that answer resolving the problem. I used the support for my laptop to contact Support for this issue. The iPad that's locked up is version 2 64G wifi + cellular. The error message I got when I tried to restore thus far was "The iPad update server could not be contacted. An unknown error occurred (1671)" It's a glitch in the update that's causing the problem, not server overload as we're being told.

I can't activate my Ipad after upgrading to iOS 9.3
