Apr 10, 2016 8:30 AM in response to Zio2000by gladys2,MIne was the same, and I worked on it for three days via iTunes, which NEVER would recognize my iPad2. Finally I took it to my local Simply Mac store, and they connected to their computer, ran several scans, had me take it home to finish in MY iTunes at home, and voila... it immediately was back in
business. and running IOS 9.3. No problems since, other than a constant and annoying notification from Apple to update my iPad to IOS 9.3.1. Not just about to do that. It will be a long time before I get into updates again !!!
As a notation here... we have no regular Apple store in my town, the nearest one being abut 100 miles away. I cannot say enough nice things about the
quick and excellent service I got at our Simply Mac store !!

Apr 15, 2016 1:01 PM in response to Bism4rckby Skaaj,Hi,
I got the same problem with my iPad 2 WIFI.
I did the 9.3 update when it comes out, and since, my iPad is lock on the activation state.
Here's what I already tried :
- Delete my iPad 2 from my iCloud.com account
- Try updating it to 9.3.1 from iTunes (seems to not update at all since iTunes keep proposing the update every time I plugged the iPad)
- Try to restore it via iTunes in recovery mode
- Try to restore it via iTunes in DFU mode
- Try to restore it with IPSW build number 13E237
But nothing works. Each times my iPad reboot, I always get the activation screen where I'm asked to enter my Apple ID.
I don't have any Apple Store near me. Plus, this iPad was bought two years ago, in a store that is closed today :/
I don't know what to do now with this iPad...
Anyone got an idea for me ?
Thank you.
