Mar 22, 2016 6:47 AM in response to jenster10by thunderzzz,Lots of users experience this issue. Servers may be overloaded. I would suggest to wait and try again later. This may be irritating but it looks like the only solution for now.

Mar 22, 2016 1:02 PM in response to Norac60by jenster10,Ok so I have spoke to apple and my ipad is back up and running! He asked me if I have done a restore I told him that I had, he told me to go to icould.com and sign in then go to find my iphone/pad and to remove my ipad from there, then told me to open Itunes up and plug olin the ipad and restore it. Did the full restore and it worked once back on the ipad just to add it back to find my iphone/pad!
Let me know if it works for anyone eles.

Mar 23, 2016 4:51 AM in response to jenster10by esqsimon,jenster--that's what I did, but had to figure it out myself as the Apple "Geniuses" had to no idea what do and were going to leave me with a brick. The Grand Central Store in NYC is an embarrassment. They basically threw their hands up in the air and said it was a hardware issue with my ipad and too bad as I was out of warranty, notwithstanding the legion of users having the same issue. In any event, its important to not just delete your ipad from icloud (as it will return when on connected to internet) but to go to my devices and actually remove it. Once I did this it would restore.

Mar 23, 2016 1:17 PM in response to dc8dudeby Skydiver119,Try to sign into iCloud.com on your computer and remove your device from the 'find my' app.
Then connect your iPad to your computer and open iTunes (you may need to update iTunes if you don't have the latest version)
See if it'll activate that way. if not you may need to restore it to factory defaults, then restore it from backup.
