Mar 22, 2016 6:35 AM in response to mardwin14by Mati_mat1,it can be that the charging point on your motherboard is faulty, therefore buying a new battery could possibly have been a waste of money, best is to take it in iFix and they can quote you.

Mar 22, 2016 10:03 AM in response to Acm001by mardwin14,No, I will look that up and try it. I haven't done anything other than change the battery and use a different charging chord. The new battery is at 20%, so I wanted to see what everyone's input was before draining that one down to 0.
Will doing that lose anything on my computer?

Mar 22, 2016 10:16 AM in response to mardwin14by Acm001,You won't lose anything doing that. It doesn't affect your hard drive at all. Another thing. Is the battery one of the inexpensive ones from amazon or eBay? They are really hit or miss as to working properly. Mostly miss - they drop dead without warning or lose capacity quickly - they never have the stated capacity.

Mar 22, 2016 10:24 AM in response to Acm001by mardwin14,I bought the battery through macbookbatteries.com. I've thought that too.... if I try these other methods and nothing works, I will return the battery and go from there. But, I figured that might not be the issue since neither of the batteries I have will charge. Thanks!
