Q: Pages not loading

I have been having a problem with pages not loading recently especially6 on Amazon.com.  I will do a search for an item, review the options, and select an item to review.  When I attempt to click on any link on the page nothing happens and the little color wheel begins to spin.  If I put the mouse arrow up to the top the spinning stops but the links are still dead.  If I try to reload the page I will get a message that the page is still loading do I want to do a force reload?  After the force reload the click throughs are still not active so I can't add the item to my cart, read the reviews - unless I scroll down, or get more details - again unless I scroll down.  I don't know if this is a Safari issue or an Amazon issue but it is sure frustrating when I am trying to buy something and it won't work!

Guess I can't edit so I will add this on.  I thought I could scroll down to see other stuff on the page but when I scroll down the page is blank with arrows pointing up and down.  So it becomes obvious that the page is not completely loading and I do not know why!

None of these procedures made any difference.  I spent over 7 hours, much of it waiting to speak or chat with a tech, yesterday trying to solve this problem.  They had me deleting my cache, history, and some other stuff as well and finally I was asked to reinstall my OS, which is El Capitan.  I truly feel that El Capitan is the problem here!  I have had several problems with programs running properly in the five months I have had this new iMac and El Capitan.  The operating system has been reinstalled at least three times, I have restored to a previously saved status on two occasions, and still I keep having these problems.  The tech yesterday was trying to convince me that the problem was my ISP because the speed was too slow.  We have two iMacs, a MacBook Pro, an iPod, an iPod Mini 2, and two new 6S iPhones.  I can connect to Amazon with any of these devices, except my iMac, while connected to my home network and Amazon works perfectly.  So, tell me how the network speed can be the problem.  Tell me how Amazon can be the problem.  The problem is with my computer and Apple seems unable to get it fixed!

P.S. I was on hold with AppleCare support twice yesterday.  The first time for 47 minutes and the second time for 38 minutes.  Now is this the best Apple can do?

Sorry for the rant but I am at my wits end.

You aren't the only one having problems with Amazon, based on what I've read in the Apple Support Community. The consensus of the feedback seems to be that Amazon's website doesn't implement Javascript properly. Try another browser as a test.

That would make sense if all of the other devices we have were having similar problems.  Since this problem only occurs with my iMac it makes me believe that my computer is the problem.
