Q: IPhone 6+ Failing Recovery in Regular and DFU Mode
Hello all,
I am currently in the process of trying to save an IPhone 6 Plus that one of my friends started having problems with. The screen started having white lines through it so he went ahead and replaced the screen. That fixed that problem but the phone is now in a recovery mode loop. I can turn it on without a chord attached and the phone will go directly into Recovery mode without me touching a button. I have tried restoring with DFU mode and have gotten stuck on "Waiting for IPhone" and eventually the screen will fade out and go black again as if it were in DFU mode doing nothing. I would just take it in the Apple but the guy most definately voided any warranty that was on it when he opened it up. Yes I have been searching through a LOT of previous forum posts. Also some extra info is that he has never dropped it in water or dropped it severely at all.
Errors I have Recieved:
3014
I have actually tried doing the DFU without the sensors plugged in just to rule out that hardware error so I'm not sure what could be going on. In regular recovery mode it will make it to "waiting for iPhone" just like the DFU mode but will then go to white Apple screen with no progress bar and crash with a red screen. It then fails.
One thing I haven't tried yet it trying to do the recovery on a different computer. I plan on trying that today but I figured I would post anyways to see if anyone else has had this exact issue before I say the phone is dead, its in really nice shape. Also I know a lot of people have a lot more knowledge on these than I do. Thank you all!

These are the steps mentioned for error 4013, but I also think that something went wrong, trying the DIY repair of the screen.
Try these steps to restore your iOS device:
- Install the latest version of iTunes.
- Restart your computer.
- Check for updates to your Mac or PC. If you restart your computer for an update, check for updates again after you restart.
- Try to restore your device using another USB cable.
- Try to restore your device on another computer.
- Force your device to restart.
If you continue to see error 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you try to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, contact us.
