I realized that google maps 3D view is not available using Safari (9.0.3) while using the browser google chrome this option is there and working. (I am using iMac 21.5" 2012 with OS X El Capitan)Thanks for helping

It has been that way since at least Safari 8. It is something controlled by Google. Safari will show the compass if you change the user agent to Chrome or Firefox.
If you want to see the 3D option, go to Safari -> Preferences -> Advanced and enable the option "Show Develop menu in menu bar". Then go to the Develop menu and select "Google Chrome" or "Firefox".
Thanks for helping, it is working, but the choice of the user agent is not permanent and shall be selected again any time the 3D view is desired. Correct?

Yes you must pick it every time you relaunch Safari.

That was exactly the solution. Thanks Duane.
This doesn't seem to work any more in Safari 9.1.1 or Tech Preview 9.1.2.
If you mean changing the user agent no it doesn't. Firefox and Chrome still work.
