Now that I have updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 9.3 (13E234) I keep getting pop-ups saying "Carrier Settings Update New settings are available. Would you like to update them now?" Never have encountered it before. Should I be wary of this or go for it? Thank you.

Carrier as your cell phone provider.
contact them if you want to know what is being update.
generally you would do the update.
Carrier Settings are supplied by your cellular service provider, i.e your Carrier. There's nothing wrong with getting them. They probably need to update some things to work with the new version of iOS now.
Thank you. You both came up with your answers at the same time. So, we have a tie. I followed through and clicked on install now, the only thing that visibly happened was the pop-up disappearinto. I guess everything is done 'under the hood'.
