Q: Unable to change Apple Id

I am attempting to change my Apple Id, but there is no "Edit" button next to my current Apple Id at http://appleid.apple.com. I have signed-out from all my devices (iCloud, FaceTime/Messages, App Store, iTunes Store, Find My Phone) and even deleted devices from my account but the option to change my ID does not appear. I do have my account as part of a Family, but I do not want to remove it because there are apps being shared. Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you go through this process:

Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

Did you enter your CURRENT Apple ID & password first at the link you cited above?

Yes, I forgot to mention that I followed the directions in that article. Step 3 is where it stops working for me. I don't have the "Change Email Address" option.

In the Account section, click Edit. Under your Apple ID, click Change Email Address.
