Q: Content Not Authorized

Hi Apple Community,

I've tried to search for my situation on the forums and have come with different variations of the problem. I'm not a novice Apple/tech person but I can't figure out what's wrong with the home sharing!

I have an iMac Retina which has some movies for my daughter stored on there locally. I used to have her stream the movies from there onto her iPad. As of late every time we go to play a movie it just shows "Cannot play" "Content not Authorized" -- now this happens with movies bought/redeemed directly from the iTunes Store, movies that I either had or ripped from blu-Rays play with no problem. I have verified the home sharing is on, I have rebooted many times, I have signed out of all sharing accounts and have tested this on my  iPad Pro as well as my iPhone and it doesn't work, same message, again except the files that are not from iTunes.

I Have updated IOS to 9.3 and updated OSX El Capitan to the latest as of yesterday. (It wasn't working prior to these, but thought this might fix it).

The funny thing is, I can download the movie or play it directly on the iPad's just navigating from the itunes/videos section but that would be streaming from iTunes itself or needing to download the movie per device which is something I don't want to do due to cable companies limiting bandwidth and charging for overages.

Any help Please?

Thank you!

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), null
