I have the new 2016 Macbook Pro, with EL Captain, and I'm trying to find a software to burn DVD's that is similar to NERO, a video program I use on my windows computer. Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm looking for something free, no watermarks, and has different menu capabilities.

Are you asking about authoring software? As in putting video on a DVD to make it playable on a TV?
Probably one of the Apple "pro" applications can do this but would be horribly expensive. Otherwise iDVD, but Apple essentially abandoned the concept of anything but online video several years ago and you would have to find used DVD with iDVD, and it may be old enough to start having run problems on newer operating system software.
I recall the free Burn utility had very, very basic DVD authoring but I don't know if it is still developed.
Limmos, yeah I'd like to be able to burn videos and play them on a regular DVD player. and thanks, yeah I looked at some of the "Pro" programs, but they are ridiculously expensive!
I did try using burn, but it messed up the sound after I burned the disc, and I did find an older version of iDVD, but it didn't work, probably because of the newer O/S
Well, you can see if somebody else has something on the web. Maybe Toast will do it, if you don't mind the intermediate price tag.
