Where can I get an Epson scan driver for my iMac os 10.11.3

I have an iMac with the current version of El Capitan 10.11.3. I purchased an Epson Workforce pro printer (WF-5690). I downloaded and installed the scanner driver from Epson's website and the error message states the computer does not have WSD Scan. How can I get it on my iMac. I couldn't find Image Capture either. Both the printer and computer are on the same wi-fi network connection. What can I do to get the scan feature to work with my Mac? I appreciate any help anyone can give me.
