I found an iPhone in the woods on a hike. I brought it home and charged it and it is in good shape. It is password protected and has no service. Is there any way to use this phone to find the owner and return there property?

You could try asking Siri "who owns this phone?" Other then that, turn it into the police, there is nothing you can do with it.
