What app do I use for writing my school reports? Please Help!!

You should already have an App called "Pages" installed on your Macbook Air since you just purchased it 🙂

It is very similar to Word. I use it to take all of my notes. If you do not have it installed, just search for it in the Mac App Store!

Press the Command key and Spacebar to search for Pages, you should just be able to hit the enter key and open it.

For very simple writing you can use TextEdit. For more control over layout, use Pages. It can also import and export documents in Word format.

Both applications came free with your MacBook. TextEdit is always pre-reinstalled. If Pages is not already in the Applications folder, you can download it for free from the Mac App Store. Check the documentation that came with your Mac to find out how to do it without having to pay for Pages.

Try Word. It is great for writing stuff like this! 🙂
