Have a rural property that has a limited download capacity satellite internet. I have Sirius satellite music to work around this and am wondering if I can input the sound from the sirius radio to an Airport Express to have it available elsewhere in the home.

There may be one possibility using an application, like Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil. This app can stream Internet audio, via AirPlay, to an AirPort Express.

Thanks for that info. As my signal is still of the Sirius Satellite and not via internet streaming, I'll still need to figure out a path to get that signal to the Mac. Maybe simply as an audio jack in but I'd rather not tie up a Mac back where the Sirius Satellite cable comes into the house.
Hmm, I get my Internet via microwave here so I am not as familiar with the satellite-version for Internet service ... but I was assuming that Sirius streams over your satellite Internet connection to get into your computer. I'm also assuming that you have some type of satellite modem/router with an Ethernet connection that you use for Internet access ... correct?
Yes, but the issue being that since it is a rural property where cable or DSL internet is not available, I have satellite internet, which has a data limit of 16gb per month. Any overages over that and the download speed gets throttled back. I then use Sirius Satellite for audio.
Ah, then do you have a portable radio provided by SiriusXM? ... or do you use an app on an iPhone, Android or Kindle device?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to connect the receiver directly to the Express base station's audio port at this is an output port only. What may work is connecting the receiver directly to the audio port on your iMac, and then, use Airfoil to stream it to your Express. I'd be curious to see if this works as, I too, have SiriusXM service, but presently, do not have one of their receivers.
