so i try to sync my contacts but it only synced some of them, BUT its weird cuz when i go to messages to imessage or text someone there in there just its their number or email not their contact name as in my iphone, and if i add them as a contact then it will add to my phone so then ill have two of there contact in my phone? which i don't understand? help me please,i just got my macbook too.

ok that helped with some of it, how do i import a vcard thing, is that on my iphone because i dont see that gear sign or is it on my mac?
You can export/import vCards from/to either the Contacts app on a Mac or iCloud.
On the Mac, open the Contacts app, select all contacts and then File menu > Import or File menu > Export > Export vCard
On iCloud at https://www.icloud.com/ open the Contacts app and use the gear-shaped icon at lower left to select all and to Export/Import
