Bootcamp error on installation

So I have lived for a while with Windows 10 and the fact that I cannot access the bootcamp control panel, but it has got to a point where I need to fix it. I have Installed the newest drivers onto a clean formatted USB and then when I install I get some random, non-specific error and the installation continues as if it has completed, but the features are still unavailable.

"Windows Installer has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."

Then another window

"Error"

What do you mean by this? Did you download BC6 drivers to a USB and run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder?

Can you find the Product Version in bootcamp.xml?
