Q: Activating sudden motion sensor (SMS) on MBP

Hi,

I have a MBP late 2013, which has a SSD and I think Apple turned off the SMS with some update in the past, as it's not needed for HDD security anymore. However, even if it's not usable for hardware protection, I'd like to use it programmatically and read the sensor.

Using pmset has no effect anymore. Is there a way to reactivate the sensor to make use of it?
