Mar 23, 2016 2:32 PM in response to Lannyby Sweejak,Thank you Lanny. So, the same problem as in OS 10.11.3. I rarely use list view so I'm tempted to update the OS to 10.11.4. Yes, I'm still hanging on to Aperture, I'm part of the dragging and screaming faction. Apple should sell the app to someone who wants to keep it up. JMO.

Mar 23, 2016 10:21 PM in response to Sweejakby léonie,★HelpfulAnd you will no longer be able to print Photo Books or other Print Products from Aperture 3.6, independent of the MacOS X version you are using. The Print Products page is now listing only Photos for Mac.

Mar 24, 2016 7:32 PM in response to Sweejakby skonesam,I'm getting an odd, mostly-freeze ~5-10 seconds after launching the app. Says "processing" at bottom of main window, and the app is partially responsive: I can move the window and sometimes the cursor reappears.
Rebuilding the database didn't seem to improve anything. Activity Monitor shows it a nice constant 4.5% of CPU, not hung, though with a weird and variable number of Idle App Wakeups (112, 171, 152, etc).
I guess I'll let it spin overnight, abandon hope, and then either move to Photos or move my library to a still-on-10.10 work machine. :-/
You were nice while you worked, Aperture! Sorry to see a minor point update break you.

Mar 27, 2016 5:19 AM in response to skonesamby léonie,,skonesam , is Aperture still doing that? the try to narrow down the problem with a few tests.
- Quit Aperture, if it running and launch it again, but hold down the Shift key while you launch Aperture. This will prevent Aperture from treeing to render Preview images. If you do not see the same strange behavior, if you launch Aperture this way, you have a corrupted original image in your library. Then check the images in your last import, if some of them cannot br processed.
- Try to find out, if the problem is related to the current library, you are using, by opening a different library.
- If it happens for any Aperture library, with or without Shift-key at launch, test in a different User Account. Isolating an issue by using another user account
I have been using Aperture now for a few days on MacOS X 10.11.4,and I am not seeing performance issues, but just more problems with the graphical user interface.

Mar 27, 2016 5:59 PM in response to léonieby skonesam,Not sure precisely if this fixed it, but… Aperture works again! I'd imported everything to Photos before I tried it; perhaps that cleaned something out of the library? Who knows.
Important thing is I can get back to using the tool I know / yelling at kids to get off my lawn. Thanks!
