Q: I can't delete my boot camp disk

     I have a boot camp disk that takes up 40GB on my macbook pro and I need that storage but I can't delete the disk. I have gone to boot camp assistant to try to delete the bootcamp partition but every time I go to the app it says "The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition". Since that didn't work I tried to delete the bootcamp partition in disk utility but every time I attempt to delete it i get a pop up saying "operation failed". I hope y'all have a fix for this because I really need the 40 GB on my laptop and I have tried to fix this for hours but nothing will work.
