Q: Deleting Photos from MacBook Air

I recently bought a new Air and during the launch, set up, I must have configured the set up to downloaded all photos (19,000) from my home iMac; the iMac is on the home network and must have been seen by the Air during configuration.

Now the disk on the Macbook is full.  How do I permanently delete the photos from the Macbook Air?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

    Howdy mccabejh65,

If you're looking to remove all of the photos that were downloaded on account of iCloud Photo Library from your MacBook Air, the first step would be to disable iCloud Photo Library on the system.

    • On your Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud > Options next to Photos, then deselect iCloud Photo Library.

Now that iCloud Photo Library is disabled (in order to prevent actions taken here from affecting your other devices, as well as prevent the images from downloading once more), the next step would be to delete the Photos Library located in your Pictures folder.

    Regards!
