Q: iMessage Help (New to iOS)
Hi, I'm planning to get an iPhone because I like the interface and the simple tools Apple offers. I am currently a Android user and I have an iPod 5 to test out the Apple products.
I have some confusion with the "iMessage" app.
I have some friends who own iPhones and they say that they can send messages to my iPod and vice versa using the iMessage feature.
I understand that I must sign in with Apple ID to use iMessage.
My question: If I sign into iMessage with both my iPod and an iPhone, will a message that is sent to me go to both the iPod and iPhone?
Thanks to all.
iPod touch, iOS 9.3

Yes, if the Same ID is used in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive on both devices then both devices will get Messages.
You also have to do this:
Link your iPhone number and Apple ID to use iMessage and FaceTime
and this to get texts on the iPod from non-iOS devices (e.g., Android phones)
