Q: I changed my apple ID and it won't work for updates on my Iphone. It keeps reverting to the old Apple ID

I changed my Apple ID to my new email address. It works on my PC and IPad but when I try to install updates on my IPhone it comes up with my old Apple ID asking for a password which I have forgotten. How do I get the IPhone to recognise my new Apple ID email. In settings on the phone it shows my new Apple ID BUT each time I try to install updates it reverts to the old ID. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I assume you CHANGED your Apple ID according to:

Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

and did not simply get a NEW Apple ID. After you change it, you should do the following:

What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password - Apple Support

It's probably as simple as signing out of the App Store and then signing back in with your new Apple ID.
