Q: How to activate my iphone?

I recently updated my dad's iphone 5 to ios 9.3. We remembered the apple id's password, but we have forgotten the apple id. I also don't know what is the connected second email address. tried answering the security question but seems that we got the wrong apple id. how do we check the apple id?
