per the title of my post.
I am wanting to change the "Creator:" name that is placed automatically every time you export a file.
I'm guessing that FCP X is pulling the name from my Mac somewhere.

Actually you can do this. In the Share inspector click the triangle and select Edit Share Fields and then at the top of the menu use Save as Default.
It's not a preference, but you can remove it on a project by project basis, so you don't have to remove it every time you share a project. If you select the project in the browser, you can remove the Current User token in the Share inspector.
Pretty sure it's the user name.
Can you "unlink" that and just force the author to be blank?

...I was just hoping to find a setting/check box somewhere that globally disabled that field. I've been doing it manually for each clip but its annoying.
I guess there isn't that option.
