Notes on iPod Touch 4: Synced to Lion, Automatically Mails Some Notes

OSes: Mac OS X 10.7.5; iOS 6.1.6

Applications: iPod touch 4; Notes. Mac Lion Mail.app

When iPod touch 4 is synced with Lion, Mail.app automatically sends some of the notes and/or puts other of the notes into an inbox. On the touch there is NO mail accounts set up, the iPod never connects to the network – it is kept in Airplane mode, wifi off, bluetooth off.

How can I prevent notes from being sent and/or put into inboxes. Mail sends/inboxes to both imap and pop accounts. Any real help will be appreciated.
