What is the difference between all the specs and display things, I'm so confused!

Hello, I was thinking about purchasing an iMac, and I didn't know which one. All I know so far is that I want the 21.5 inch one, but It's asking me all these upgrade options. I need help! I don't understand ANY of these things. I don't know whether or not I should get the 4k retina display, upgrade my RAM, change my processor, or even get the apple mouse or trackpad. I need so much help. Can anyone explain these things to me? At the moment I have an HP 15 with windows 10 and I want to switch to apple. Here are my specs for my PC at the moment if it helps.

Processor: ADM A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics

Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB 96.94 GB usable)

System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

Pen and touch: Touch Support with 10 Touch Points

I only had this PC since December 25th, 2014 if that helps also.

Please help! I don't know if I have to upgrade anything or just keep it the same. I also don't know if there's a drastic change between the normal 21.5 inch and the 21.5 4k retina display one.

Thank you so much! Every answer is appreciated! Please respond!

You can either call the online Apple Store or if you have an Apple Store within a hour of so of where you live you should consider visiting and then asking for direction. Without knowing what you will be the computer for it is impossible for anyone to recommend one that suits your needs. I strongly urge you to visit a store and ask, they are not pressured to sell. What they are there for is to make your experience a good one and for you to leave happy that you got your questions answered.

Comparing a PC's specs with a Macs is a waste of time, where your focus should be is on what you need the computer for and then finding one that meets and exceeds what your needs are.

Just got your answer, I will call in an hour or so. If it helps anyone else, I am using the computer just for a computer. I don't do gaming, the only game I play is minecraft. I type sometimes for school. And I like to import photos and videos to my computer, and my family and I make funny "movies" that I would like to edit using iMovie, and maybe store them on my computer. Thanks for the answer! 🙂
