MBA 13 inch late 2010. Running OS X El Capitan v 10.11.3. Cannot set up iCloud.

Some more details may help. Exactly what are you trying (e.g., logging in to iCloud at Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud) and what happens (e.g., error message, etc)?

I have the same problem! So, I contacted apple and they said the iCloud server had a little problem. They also said they will fix it as quick as possible.
I am struggling with this issue.
OS Sierra, Macbook Pro 13", Mid 2012
Logging in to iCloud at Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud and the cursor circles a bit, then the "password" text greys out again and nothing happens. No error message, it is as if I never typed the password. I can resubmit the password but get the same result.
I have removed the MBP from iCloud via icloud.com, but after switching the MBP on again it is back on iCloud. It is signed in to iCloud as well on icloud.com, so all looks fine. But still I cannot login to iCloud on the MBP.
iCloud and my AppleID works on iTunes, Appstore and my other devices.
