I forgot the lot

I updated my ipad2 and had to enter a new passcode and password as I had previously deleted the need to keep entering these. After lunch I returned to iPad but of course it needed passcode and password which I got wrong. I tried again and the pad disabled itself returning in a given time which gets longer each time I try a passcode and get it wrong. am desperate to access it as my personal mail is in there and my business mail is on Mac. Each time I try to connect to iTunes the pad screeches. I cloud doesn't seem to help but that could be operator error. I am a disabled senior in UK so need help please. Thank you.
