Apple has acknowledge the issue with activation server difficulties with certain iPad models and have stated that they are working on this issue and that it will be resolved as soon as possible.

Thanks Michel.   Just wondering where you saw that Apple was working on this issue.....the non-activation and bricked iPad.   The Genius Bar manager at the Apple Store couldn't say one way or the other.

Apple posted two announcements last week about the ongoing ID Activation Server error and they have not been posting this info on Apple's own website, but keep choosing to covertly post the issues/possible solutions on lesser visited, third party Apple centric websites to minimize the impact and responses of this rather major iOS roll out S.N.A.F.U.

Here is announcement two by Apple.

Apple news posted, unbelievably, ELSEWHERE other than on Apple's own website/community tech forums.

Apparently Apple has now halted iOS 9.3 updates due to growing Activation Server Lock issues.

Apple halts iOS 9.3 updates for older iDevices due to growing Activation Server Lock issues.

Apple has issued a solution to the activation server error, but it has not been successful for every iPad or iDevice affected.

If you can’t activate your iPad 2 (GSM model) after you update to iOS 9.3 - Apple Support

You can try this fix, but if it is unsuccesful, Apple issued another statement that they are working on another new solution that should be forthcoming early this coming week.

OR you decide to wait it out until Apple computer/ software engineers releases this newer, more recent solution.

    It's up to you.

    Good Luck!
