problems with my apple id

Recently I updated my iphone to the new IOS 9.3. The iphone is asking for my apple ID, I write it down (it always has been the same one) and its giving me this error: incorrect apple id, cannot be used to unlock this iphone.

I pressed the activation help menu and it says:

A password is required to activate this device because its owner has used find my iphone to link it to their apple id.

This has always been my iphone and ive always used the same apple id. I dont know whats wrong...

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3

You need to reset your password > If you forgot your Apple ID password

I changed my password and its still giving me the same error 😟

Am having same issue as Lucy0917. In addition to knowing password as I am able to signon to apple via laptop. Will not accept during activation process after recent update.

What apple id at the top does it list?

It should show a letter followed by a few astericks and then an @ symbol and the email portion.

Do you recognize that email?

Is that the one you are trying to log in with?

I' am having the same issue as well, I remember my Apple ID to get into ITunes but, not my ICloud email and/or password. It will not unlock/activate my phone without it.

I don't recognize the apple id that appears on the phone, its not the one that I use to log in to my account

Hi Joe. Thank you so much for your help. However I still couldn't unlock my iPhone. I connected the phone to the computer and tried to follow the steps provided to unlock it via itunes, but it gives me this error: We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknow error occurred (0x80090326). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.

I also tried to do it via icloud.com I entered my account but it doesnt show no devices at all, it doesn't even show the find my phone logo.

I don't know whats wrong with my account, I can access it from my computer but not from my iphone?????

Please I need help...
