Longest time on hold with applecare?

I am just curious how long you guys have been on hold? For me its 2 hours and counting!! Just curious if someone has me beat?

Lets see, I bought applecare for my iphone, thank goodness I save receipts. I never needed to use it for the first yr, but finally my time came. I called applecare and wouldnt you know. they have no record of me. Spent hours on phone that day. Finally, I had to dig out receipts and contracts and email them all in. I call today and wouldnt you know/? they have no record of my contract again?!?!?!??!

OK fast forward... I get to apple store for an appt at 440PM for a battery change, finished in store by 615pm. Get home. Phone isnt working!!!! battery wont hold charge, phone is turning itself off randomly, the round button at the bottom wont work ( basically i cannot go between screens. once i am on a screen, its eternal-kind of like being on hold with applecare-ETERNAL)

So i call applecare as soon as i get in the door, I am STILL on hold. so about 620pm-850pm NO END IN SIGHT!!!

think before buying applecare. I am not trying to be mean but I am frustrated right now and sharing my honest experience.

Yeah the Apple phone lines are being over ran with issues with the new update, so expect long times. If you have the chance, I would recommend trying the chat option on getsupport.apple.com as they seem to be slightly quicker, or just waiting until in the morning as everyone tends to call places after work (in the evening).
