"Unable to verify the printer on your network" error when adding a printer

User uploaded file

Yesterday I accidentally deleted my home printer from the "Printers & Scanners" list. But when I tried to add it back (exactly the same way as the first time), I got this error message and if I click "continue," it looks like this:

But when I try to print, it says "printer not responding." Thanks 🙂

That means you're entering the wrong IP address in the setup dialog, or you're selecting a communications protocol that the printer doesn't support, or the printer is unreachable on the network. If you're trying to use a printer that is shared from another computer or from a device such as a router, please check that the printer is actually being shared. OS X Printer Sharing may have been disabled without your knowledge.
