I was just posting to point out the fact that I was having this problem, so it's not just 1 or 2 people, it's creating issues for others as well. But thank you for mentioning it.
I can't say I understand the point in "me, too!" posts unless you want help with the problem. But, to each their own.
It's a comparatively small number of people who have this problem. Another possible cause is using music for your alarm. That seems to, for some people, be the root of the problem. Try to stick with the built in alarm tones.

Sep 7, 2016 6:47 PM in response to somari91by Sabrina1231,I know someone who has the same problem. I've been thinking because I know if people are intelligent enough to find a message board to post to then they are intelligent enough to know the basic trouble shooting ideas so I'm not going to try to give anyone pointless ideas.. I've been wondering if the people who have this issue also have the Apple Watch? If so you know how on the Apple Watch you can very easily accidentally "time travel"... I wonder if that has anything to do with it... It could very easily be another app that's been downloaded that messes with that and it could be as simple as the cellular carrier but if this many people have this issue I'm willing to bet it's a software glitc. I myself am experiencing one. When someone messages me, my banner shows but when it goes away my number 1 notification at the top left of my messages app doesn't show.. I only know if I get a message if I am looking at the phone. I've done a hard reset, a soft reset, as well as making sure my notifications are turned on... Still not working.

That would be an erroneous assumption. The skill set involved in figuring out how to post to a forum is not necessarily the same one required to do basic troubleshooting. There's copious evidence to support this.
I'm not sure how Time Travel on an Apple Watch could affect alarms on the iPhone. The cellular carrier is also unlikely as the alarms don't require a data connection at all. They will work even in Airplane Mode. However, yes, it could well be a problem with another app causing a problem. Hence, the recommendation to, if all else fails, restore the phone from new and test.

Sep 12, 2016 10:44 AM in response to somari91by tadsligar,I have the same problem and there seems to be no consistency with it. It just happened to me again this morning. It only happens to me every month or so. I don't change a single thing and it works the next day. I am thinking about getting a third party app instead. But I don't know if that will work any better.
