Unlink ipod with old account

I have this ipod generation 5 that is linked to an old icloud account that is also linked to an old hotmail account..... I can not seem to find a way to unlink it... I did this using a new icloud account that i just created a few minutes ago.

I can assure you that this is my ipod cause I bought it a few years back. I even had two icloud, one was disabled due to unknown reasons but I suspect it due to my younger self trying to figure it out. The second is the one I made and it linked it. Nowadays I tried to use the ipod again and updated it to 9.3 from 7.1.1 ( i know it was a long time) to give it to my girlfriend so she can use it. As we are using her other phone for other stuff.

Is there anyway to unlink it? My old hotmail I can't seem to find, the old icloud account i can't seem to find. Is there a way to link the ipod to a new one?

If the mystery id is an Apple id you created when you first set up the iPod, and have now forgotten the credentials, https://iforgot.apple.com. For Apple id maintenance in general, https://appleid.apple.com

Log out of iTunes and log back in to iTunes with the new Apple id. If you cannot recover the old Apple id credentials, then you will never be able to update apps purchased in the App Store. The only work around for that is to repurchase the apps under your new Apple id.

Hello, I already did that...

I was a kid when I did the answer the security question. I did it as a fake birthday so I can be "18". Foolish move from my side. The other one send to the email ending in hotmail.com

I dont remember that hotmail.com one. It was another childish move i did.

I was wondering if I can link the ipod to a new fresh icloud. This one that one am working one right now.

How will I log in to itunes?

I can not even open my ipod after upgrading from 7.1.1 to 9.3... After upgrading I have the activate the ipod. so how will me logging in on itunes unlink that from my old account?

You need to contact iTunes and regain use of the original account. Then yo can either then log out of that account on the iPod and log into the new one. But note yo will have to repurchase any apps purchased with the old account.

or just edit the new account to add a working email address.
