Q: what if the previous owner isnt aviable and cannot be contacted and the ipod is asking for the password what do i do? someone pleaseeeeeee help        

so i recently updated my ipod to ios 9.3 and then when it turned back on it asked for the icloud. the previous owner has his icloud on and now he cannot be contacted. i dont know what to do.

    I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. If the device is demanding an Apple ID which is not yours to activate it only the person who set up the activation lock can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515

     

    If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
