iOS 9.3 night shift doesn't work in low power mode

SO this is my first post πŸ™‚

This new feature is good and only time will tell if it works with my sleeping pattern. The only thing that bugs me is - you have night shift enabled but when you hit that 20% mark where it prompts you to activate 'low power mode' you click it and you get blinded. Why is this? Will this be sorted at a later date where both features work with each other? Would be good if they could as it would take the difficult decision out of my hands each day.

Cheers

How about restrict use so that you don't need night shift?

I don't get all of the excitement over night shift. I have said this several times in other discussions. How about PUTTING THE DAMM PHONE DOWN an hour or so before you go to bed. Find another way to chill out. If you are reading on your phone or playing a game until you go to sleep....???

I realize that I am in the minority here, but IMHO, another first world problem.

For the phone, "frankly Scarlet, I don't give a ****". I rarely use it at night for anything other than answering a call or a text. For the iPad, since that is how I read books primarily I would use it if I could (3rd gen iPad, so no joy, but hopefully that will change in the next couple of months 😝). But yeah, basically I agree, first world problem. If using a device is causing sleeplessness, put it down an hour before going to sleep. And if choosing between the two features, Low Power Mode is definitely the most useful.

Don't get me wrong low power mode has saved me quite a few times and still does. I like the idea of night shift, personally I have problems getting to sleep anyway but I wouldn't say I'm glued to my phone either before I go to bed. I'm just saying it would be good if both features could work together espesially in the evening to get best of both worlds so to speak.

And my point is, they can't. The two are at odds. As previously suggested, send feedback to Apple, but I have my doubts that you can be accommodated.

And perhaps we should both be very concerned 😁😁😁
