Q: Setting OS10.9 to open finder windows on restart?
Hi all. MacPro mid-2010 model, OS 10.9.5, 16 gig RAM...
Ya know, it seems that whenever Apple brings out its new release, it touts all the "new, improved" features it brings with it.
What they DON'T tell you is the things they forgot to put back in!
For instance, this. On my MacPro at home (a 1,1 model), I run Snow Lep (10.6.8). On my new iMac I have 10.11 ElCapitan (!!! its majestic).
BOTH computers will re-open finder windows which were open when I restart.
However, the computer at work, the aforementioned 2010 model with Yosemite, does not, and this is important, as I then must manually open the 6 finder windows I keep open at all times while I work (if you want to know why, I can 'splain it to you..)
So, to my question: Is their a View Option or Finder Pref somewhere which will open the Finder windows for me upon restart?

make sure "Close windows when quitting an app" is disabled and of course Reopen windows on login... however its worded is enabled when shutting down, restarting, etc.
