Need Help Opening .fcpevent Files

Hi there,

The company that I'm working for needs me to update some old projects that were created in FCPX, they are all titled "currentversion.fcpevent". When I try to open the files in FCPX I get the error message "Final Cut Pro cannot open files in Final Cut Pro Event format."

Anything I should try?
