Regardless of the above point, the files you'd like to keep should be on at least two drives in case one of them fails.

Mar 25, 2016 7:52 AM in response to nat.catby LarryHN,No - the new photos program will migrate your last used iPHoto library the first time you launch it - if it does not or you need to migrate additional libraries simply drag them to the Photos icon in the Dock
And note that Photos is a new program and has a learning curve
