Q: iTunes keeps randomly pausing itself

Since the os x update this week (March 22 2016) my iTunes keeps pausing songs randomly, then after a minute it will start again, but then it will pause itself again a few seconds later and so on. Of course, this makes iTunes unusable and Im currently unable to listen to music or podcasts with any sort of enjoyment.

 

Further to that the music controls on my Apple bluetooth keyboard ceased to control to iTunes (play, pause, skip forward/back). The keyboard is fine - new batteries and all other functions working.

 

So something has gone wrong since the update and its really, really annoying.

 

Anyone else run into such a thing? Solutions? Ideas? Is it all possible to roll back a version?

 

Im using os x 10.11.4 and iTunes 12.3.3.17. Its a mid 2010 iMac.

    Well, I restarted the machine a couple of times and now it seems ok. Not sure what fixed it exactly. Have a hunch it might be to do with the bluetooth speakers. Anyway, seems okay now.

    the same thing has been happening to me..... for about the last month..... I've tried re-setting my airport express' that send the music to various bose speakers and audio systems..... I've even tried the "single" speaker option...... yet it still cuts on and off.

     

    Can anyone come up with a fix or solution. The system worked flawlessly until now.

    I tried everything and nothing was working, then finally it work out when i change my dns address.  I use global DNS1 8.8.8.8 and DNS2 8.8.4.4  I can play tracks without any pause now.  (BTW After changing DSN I restarted modem)
