HI Robert,

I'm having the same problem as you. I am trying to Download the new Update and I keep getting the same message - That I'm not connected to the Internet, but I am.

DId you have any success in finding out why we are getting that message. If so, could you please tell me how I too can find out how to download it?

By the way, I'm only new to this page. If this isn't the right way to go about it, could you please tell me the right way.

Thank you

Sus Dubberley.

Sue, I saw some suggestions that it might work if I tried to install it through iTunes on my Mac Pro but what I got was even more strange. iTunes tells me that OS 9.2.1 is up-to-date for the iPad Air. Certainly not correct since I have a second iPad Air, same model, that I bought at the same time directly from Apple where OS 9.3 downloaded, verified, and installed without an issue. So, I am even more puzzled.

This is a known problem/glitch.

Apple has, officially, acknowledged and recognized this issue with activation server difficulties with certain iPad models and have stated that they are working on this issue and that it will be resolved as soon as possible.

Hopefully sooner.

It is affecting mostly iPad 2 models, but iPad 3, 4 and 1st gen. iPad Minis are being affected from this, as well.

There are some workaround solutions, but, unfortunately, these do not work for every iDevice affected.

This is clearly an Apple problem/issue that they time to sort out and solve.

Latest Apple news posted, unbelievably, ELSEWHERE other than on Apple's own website/community tech forums.

Apparently Apple has now halted iOS 9.3 updates due to growing Activation Server Lock issues.

The upgrade properly verified and installed today. Interestingly, following directly on the heels of this problem with the iPad was a problem with an upgrade to 10.11.4 on my MacPro where it continually shut down my computer when finishing the install. However, since I have Apple Care still active on that unit, it was resolved with a phone call. I haven't cared to try the upgrade on my Macbook Pro which is not covered. I think in the future, I am going to wait and see what others experience before upgrading any system software.

I, too, was finally able to install 9.3 yesterday. Of interest, however, I got no notification from Apple that the glitch had been fixed. I was just giving it the "try and try again" method. Well... The first thing I noticed was that I was dumped off notes every time I tried to use it. It somehow straightened itself out without my cursing it. The second thing I noticed was that I was dumped back to my home page from Safari quicker than I could read a sentence. It's a little better now, but really can't count on it at all. I'll try to tweak it to see if I can get some kind of stability.

With one of the 9.2 upgrades, all my photos were given new dates, reaching much farther back in time than I've had my iPad. Sweet, very sweet, given that I have counted on them having the correct dates. And, generally, the photos don't just appear, but they have to be reloaded. It's fun to watch the little circle make its orbit. And the photos seem to have created their own duplicates. I feel cursed somehow, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one with these issues. Sigh...
