Q: iphone wants to update to 9.3, iTunes says phone is up to date on 9.2.1

My iphone wants to update to 9.3 but is unable to, keeps returning 'you are not connected to the internet' error message. I am connected of course. Tried through iTunes which says phone is up to date on 9.2.1. Have updated to most recent iTunes, and restarted phone, and reset network settings. I don't get it. I  have an iphone 5s with 4.2GB free space. Any suggestions?

Try restarting the computer and connecting your device once again.

Also, check your network connection and restart your router.

I'm not sure, but maybe your problem is somehow connected with the latest bug in iOS 9.3.

I have the same issue.  I downloaded the update, which kept giving me an error that said I wasn't connected to the internet, so I deleted the update.  When I tried to download it again-  as it still shows that I have 1 update in the settings screen, I get a screen that says your iPhone is up to date with 9.2.1.  I have an iPhone 5c.  Any suggestions for this?

Similar issue here. When trying to update directly on phone, it says 9.2.1 is up to date. iTunes says the same thing, so at least they agree...:-/

No issues about internet connection here. Have tried restarting etc. iPhone 5s, OS X 10.11.3, iTunes 12.3.3.17.

Yes maybe so, I think I shall wait a few weeks before trying again, maybe they will have it sorted by then.

    Hi everyone:

have the same issue on one of our iPhones. Mac Air 11" on OS X 10.11.4 iTunes 12.3.3 and an iPhone 5

The 9.3 update did not work. The device freezes ! I did not even get to an put screen.

Had to restore the iPhone and did it via Itunes with regular restore procedure Hold on/off and Home until iTunes sign showed up etc.

the I restored to 9.2.1. got my backup, I made just before update attempt.

Everything is fine unless, system has a update Info on General info but tells me that the current version is the lastest when trying to update.

Restartet all systems, changed USB port and did the again. No success. even deactivated reactivated system in Itunes store and iCloud.

After that new attempt, same result.

No Idea no error code . At least the iphone does well on 9.2.1. However it all started with a messed up upgrade attempt.

Apple used to have better quality !

Will let you know if I find any help in easter eggs or elsewhere, support while searching is welcome though.

That's strange, I updated my rather old iPhone 5 without a single problem and now I see all those posts about bricked devices.

Hope the new iOS 9.3 build will fix the issues.

APPle starts Providing new Build 9.3 13E236 formerly 233.

    that at should helps.

some Reports say taking off the SIM Card helps in getting things  resolved after reset, i.e. "Unbricked "

    good luck

I'm not bricked, as luckily I was unable to update. I'm going to wait a few weeks for things to iron out.

Apple has reportedly pulled the update for older devices due to the issues we've been seeing here. A new build was released for iPad 2, but so far nothing for iPhones.

Just to close the issue from my side.  no hassle after updating to 9.3.1 (13E238)

Thanks and bug free working ;-)
