Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I woke up tonight and found that my iPhone6s+ wont send any SMS to anyone. iMessages work fine. I power cycled the phone. I hard rebooted the phone. iMessages are fine. Other iPhones in the house(older) send fine. Any ideas??

SMS is carrier function, sooner you contact your carrier better.

Mine is doing this too. I tried the troubleshooting steps as well with no luck. I have ATT and tried texting a t-mobile and ATT droid. Neither goes through.

Same with me...I got it to work. Hard restart/refresh of the phone fixes it. Hold down Power & home button till it restarts. That's all. No problem with non-imessage texting.
I'm having the same problem tried all the apple fixes with no results. I have an iPhone 6 Plus with AT&T. the HOME + POWER reset worked. Yay.
I am having the same exact issue - has anyone received a resolution? I have been on the phone with ATT&T and Apple (holding right now with Apple. Apple came on and had to "restore my settings" This correcedt the problem.!!! Good luck everyone!
Same with me...I got it to work after speaking with Apple Support. Hard reset/refresh of the phone fixes it. Hold down Power & home button till it restarts..that's all. You don't lose any settings, apps, txt's etc. No problem with non-imessage texting.
I tried the hard restart. Does not work. It seems we all have AT&T. I guess the last update doesn't like AT&T.
It seems to be cleared up now. I just wait for a bit and give your phone a basic restart and it should work again.
iphone 6 with ATT - took 2 hard restarts and now it works again. Yay!
