Q: How do I add my wife's cell phone number to the Send

My wife's iPad (Serial Number DM**********191, iOS version 9.2.1, if either of those matter) does not include her cell phone number on the Send & Receive list. How do I add it to that list?

Does she have an iPhone? Is that iPhone using the same Apple ID as her iPad? If the answer is yes, see this article:

If she doesn't haven an iPhone, it's not possible using Messages. If she's a Verizon customer, she can use VZ Messages (download from the App Store) on her iPad to use her non-iPhone mobile number to message from the iPad.
