Q: File size

I've done some editing of videos in the past on a variety of different devices and each time that I save (or export. If you prefer that term) the video, the file size changes, either increasing in size if features were added or decreasing in size if things were removed. This does not seem to be case with iMovie. The video size remains constant. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I am using a 132Gb iPad Pro. Any assistance would be appreciated Since the Apple help files are severely lacking with regards to this feature.

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3, 132 GB

I have had the same problem. I would suggest to do the same thing I did, it worked really well for me. If you download google drive, you can upload your videos and files to it, and when you access it elsewhere, you can download it the way it was.

Really? Because I don't think so. If I have a file size of say, 100Mb and I edit it and remove several unwanted clips, saving it to Google Drive or Dropbox or any of the other online clouds available should result in a decrease in file size, except that it doesn't. The exported file remains the same size or increases. There is something drastically wrong with iMovie if this is the case.
