Made a Slideshow in Photos. After export, on playback, the filename (name.m4v) displays on the title slide. How do I suppress this? NOTE: Deleting the title from the first slide does not work. It's not a title that is displaying - it's the filename. Thanks.
I did try deleting the extension (.m4v) from the filename and that broke the slideshow ...

Click on the Title on the Title slide and enter the text you want to show.

Are you using the Export button at the top right of the window?
Yes, I am using the Export button at top. Below is what happens if I export with no text in the title slide. The filename (Welcome to the MBL.m4v) shows up when I launch the slideshow. If there is text in the title slide, BOTH the filename and title text show up.
Let's make sure we're on the same page. Are you using Photos which has this icon
or are you using iPhoto which has this icon:
With iPhoto you can have the title or description and the file name on the slides. With Photos you have to add text to each slide individually.
What are you using?
Oh! I think I just figured it out. The filename shows up when I watch it with the VLC video player. But if I open it with Quick Time, I don't have that problem.

Having a new problem with QuickTime playback though ... it's not auto-repeating (which it is selected to do in Photos)

No, that doesn't work. That deletes the TITLE . I am talking about the FILENAME (slideshow.m4v or whatever it is exported as onto my desktop.) That freaking FILENAME displays when I launch the slideshow and there is no way to delete it!!
I'm at a loss as to why it's still displaying. A couple more tests:
1- log into another user account on your Mac, create a test slideshow in Photos there and see if the problem remains
If it does continue with
2 - create a new test library, import some photos and test again.
Control (right) - click on the title slide in the thumbnail tray and select Delete Text from the contextual menu:

That's Photos. I don't know why you keep getting the file names in the slideshow. Try creating a new slideshow and see if the problem is repeated.
