Q: I do not like the new "photo" app. Can I revert back to the "iPhoto" app, as I do not need to share this photos with my other devises?

    Yes you can if you have an up-to-date version of iPhoto.

     

    But I would caution you: iPhoto is no longer developed and so this would be a time limited solution. As of March 31, you will no longer be able to order print material with iPhoto. Going forward, new versions of the OS will come along. There is no guarantee that iPhoto will run on them.

     

    So, if you don't like Photos I would suggest you begin looking for an alternative option.

    Or learn Photos as most people like Photos better than iPhoto once they take time to learn how to use it

    You don't need to use iCloud if you don't want to.  Just uncheck all checkboxes in the Photos/iCloud preference pane:

    On your other devices disable all iCloud features.  Very simple.
