Q: this email cannot be used to unlock this iphone

Hi friends... please help me... my friend give me his iphone 4 and i reset all content to erase all his data and setting but now on recommendation i insert right password and email but it says this email cannot be used to unlock this iphone...tell me what to do plesae friends...
