My 5TB seagate USB3 drive will spin up, but not mount, when I connect it to my brand new macbook via the multi-port digital adapter. Works fine on my older computers. Any thoughts?

It's all up-to-date, still no go.
I've seen other reports of this problem. It seems to be caused by a bug. I don't know of a workaround. You would have to contact Apple Support.
